In 2019, Al-Noor Foundation was established as a charitable organization dedicated to revitalizing the pursuit of knowledge and intellectual excellence within the Muslim community. This bold step aimed to address the educational disparities and empowerment gaps that had hindered our community's progress.Inspired by the Golden Age of Islamic civilization, where Muslims were renowned for their scholarly prowess and groundbreaking innovations, Al-Noor Foundation aspires to revive this spirit of intellectual curiosity and innovation.We draw inspiration from the legendary Library of Baghdad, a beacon of knowledge that once housed scholars and thinkers who pushed the boundaries of human understanding. From the discoveries of Al-Khwarizmi to the medical breakthroughs of Ibn Sina, our ancestors once led the world in scientific progress. By supporting education, promoting critical thinking, and fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity, Al-Noor Foundation aims to empower a new generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers who will shape a brighter future for all.
The name of our foundation itself narrates our motto Al-Noor: 'The light of Allah is an ocean, and the vessels of knowledge are the stars.'
